Videocon launches VT71 – an Android 4.0 seven inches tablet for 4,700
Videocon entered tablet market recently and they have launched one more – Videocon VT71. It is seven inches tablet having capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 800×480 pixels. This tablet has Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich OS inside. This tablet has 1.2 GHz chip inside with 3,200 mAh battery and 512 MB RAM.
There are other features on the Videocon VT71 like HDMI output, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, front facing VGA camera, microSD card slot with max support for 32GB cards. You can also go 3G using a USB dongle.
There are preloaded popular apps inside like Nimbuzz, Facebook, NexGtv, Saavm, etc. The price of this tablet is Rs. 4,799 and it is available in Silver/Grey colour.
Head of Development and Product Planning at Videocon – Khalid Zamir says that this tablet is made for emerging market for tablets in India. He says that the tablet market is slowly growing and the sales will increase fast over a period of time.
Zamir says that tablets will soon generate a lot of revenue in market of telecommunications. Using this device, they are looking to give their customers an immersive experience with affordable price tag. With this tablet, the company is looking to expand their product portfolio and give engaged tablet experience for their customers.

Videocon first entered the tablet market with their Videocon VT10 tablet which they launched in Jan 2013. It was ten inches tablet having Android Jelly Bean OS. VT10 is powered by dual core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snap dragon chip and has 1 GB RAM with 8 GB internal storage. There is 2 megapixels camera on either side. This tablet runs on 6,800 mAh battery. Videocon VT10 is priced at Rs. 10,999.
