Samsung unveils ‘ATIV’ – World’s First Windows 8 Phone with High Specs
In order to claim its first position in the world as a leading smartphone manufacturer, Samsung has unveiled world’s first Windows 8 Phone along with its all new Windows 8 based Series 5 Ultrabook with touch screen.
The manufacturer has not stopped itself even after facing tremendous heartbreak after losing the case against Apple. Instead, Samsung has increased its pace and set to launch its Windows 8 based iteration that will benefit the company for long term. The manufacturer has decided to shift its focus on Windows 8 based devices after a US jury decided many Samsung’s Android-based phones be banned as per Apple Inc Patents.
As far as the news is concerned, Samsung Electronics has turned out as the first handset maker to announce a smartphone integrated with Microsoft’s latest mobile software – Windows 8. The manufacturer has announced that the ATIV phone would hit the stores between October and November, but the exact date is yet to announce.
The brief announcement made at a Berlin electronics show has given clues that the smartphone giant could turn massively in developing Windows devices after losing the case against Apple.
Samsung ATIV S Windows phone gets Corning Gorilla glass protected 4.8 inches long display and 8 megapixel primary camera along with 1.9 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. The phone will feature a dual core 1.5 GHz processor that will provide amazing speed to the device and to support the attractiveness a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display is added. Besides, 1GB RAM, microSDHC card slot, and a long lasting 2,300 mAh battery are provided.
All the specs added to this Windows 8 smartphone are very high-end where it cannot be compared with any other high-end smartphone in the world in terms of hardware capability. Samsung is in high hopes that this new iteration will take the focus away from its Android phone’s ban and loss of case. Apple so far has already banned 8 Samsung phones in the world.
