Samsung Launches Galaxy S4 in New York
Samsung has launched the long awaited Galaxy S4 in New York. Huge number of crowds has flocked outside Radio City Music Hall at New York’s Times Square to explore the show. Journalists and tech bloggers from around the world had found queued at the venue for around two hours.
Unlike earlier launches, the Korean manufacturer had spent millions of dollars to make this product a big hit before launch. After the huge success of Galaxy S3, Samsung has created increasing desperation among smartphone owners who are choosing Samsung over Apple, BlackBerry and Nokia. Samsung Electronics have armed its flagship product with amazing features and specs which can challenge its hot rivals in the market. The product was also launched with Apple style showmanship and Broadway razzmatazz performed at the prominent Radio City Music Hall based in New York. Thousands and more curious spectators have gathered around the location to watch the live show outside the Times Square on giant billboards.
It has been less than a year, when Samsung made a debut of its highly successful S3 which created appreciation and tough competition in the smartphone market all across the world. During the time, Apple, BlackBerry and Nokia launched their own flagship products, creating a raging complexity into the competition. Still, Samsung Galaxy S3 won a great position in the market and now is the time for Samsung Galaxy S4 which comes with new look, sleek and slim design, fantastic camera, amazing UI, and much more. In the statement J.K. Shin made, the President and Head of IT and Mobile Communications Division at Samsung, All the innovative features of Galaxy S4 were developed based on the insights and needs found from the consumers globally. So the inspiration was common customers of Samsung.
There are several new features that are incorporated into Samsung Galaxy S4. They include sensor to track whether the user is watching the screen or it pauses, starts video stream if the user is watching over screen or pauses if not, recognizes hand gestures for scrolling the pages, and uses a nearness sensor for preview files or pictures.
With 5-inch display, the phone looks amazing especially due to its 7.9mm thin design. The camera has got some interesting features and is rated as a top-notch sensor. It sports a 13 megapixel camera with 2 megapixel front camera for video calling. The software has got some tweaks due to which the phone has become a real snapper. Its dual camera functionality lets the user take a picture or shoot a video by putting self into the frame while capturing.
Dual video call facility and sound and shot mode are some of the great features that Samsung has included in this new smartphone. Excluding this, the S4 marks its premium position for ability to recognize nine different languages and translating from voice to voice or voice to text on fly. This cellphone supports HSPA+ 42 Mbps and 4G LTE. It functions as a dual mode version with TDD/FDD LTE which was introduced later this year. One of the unique features presented in this phone is the Air View Function. It lets the user use air gesture to change music track, scroll up and down the web page or accept a call through a wave of hand.
As far as the availability is concerned, expect this device to be reachable at the second quarter of the year worldwide. Pricing is yet to disclose.
