Samsung announced Galaxy Grand I9082 Phablet with Dual-Core Processor
Samsung recently launched Samsung Galaxy Grand Phablet for Rs. 21,500. It is a dual SIM device and will compete with Micromax Canvas HD which is scheduled to release early next month. Samsung says that this phablet will come with flip cover.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Phablet has five inches TFT WVGA screen and it has Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean OS inside. The device runs on dual core chip and it runs at 1.2 GHz. This processor is accompanied by a gig of RAM. The design is largely the same as Samsung Galaxy S III.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Phablet comes with eight megapixels camera at the back and there is LED flash as well. For making video calls, there is front facing two megapixels camera close to the display. The internal memory is 8GB and the microSD card can take maximum 64GB cards.
Samsung Galaxy Grand Phablet runs on 2,100 mAh battery inside and there are connectivity features like S Voice, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 2G and 3G. Other features include AllShare Play, Popup Video, Smart Alert, and Direct Call. This device will have multi app functionalities and users will be able to access 2 apps at the same time.
A unique feature of this device is that if you are talking on one SIM and if there is a call on the other SIM, then the second call will get transferred to the first SIM automatically.
In terms of sales, Micromax has been ahead of Samsung. It sold 1.98 lac phablets in India as compared to Samsung’s 1.89 lac units of Galaxy Note devices.
