Panasonic Lumix Waterproof Android Phone with 13.2 MP camera

Japan has yet another achievement to its credit. This new phone has a Panasonic Lumix camera of 13.2 Megapixels; it has an Android OS; It is waterproof android phone; and it has a 4-inch QHD LCD screen of 960×540 resolution. It’s Panasonic Lumix Phone 101P.

If these features are not enough to impress you, here are some more. The new phone is just 9.8mm thin. It will also have a 1Gz TI OMAP 4430 dual-core processor. The phone will run on Android 2.3 – Gingerbread.

While we do have several camera phones to choose from, it would be appropriate to say that these are either good phones or have good cameras, not both together. And how can you expect such a combination. A simple digital camera, which clicks decent-quality pictures, is usually thicker than a phone. When you try to insert such a good-quality camera in crammed space of a phone, it just ruins up everything. Therefore, no phone, until now has been able to replace the SLRs.

But if what Panasonic claims is true, this scenario might change pretty soon. Let us hope for the best and wait for the company to release this phone. No news on its launch date yet.
