Micromax planning to launch new Canvas phones regularly
Micromax is an Indian phone maker and it has been making handsets since a long time. The brand name is now getting increasingly trustworthy in the Indian markets. Micromax recently said that they are planning to launch new Canvas phones every 2 months in India.
Vikas Jain, the business director and co-founder at Micromax said that Micromax Canvas II is a big hit in the market and hence they are planning to launch more phones under this name.
Micromax is currently selling 5,500 units of Canvas II phones daily and they have started their work on its successor – Canvas III. Jain refused to tell the launch date but he did say that the phone would be launched by March.
Canvas 2 or Micromax Superfone Canvas A110 is successor to Canvas A100 and it is priced at Rs. 9,999. The phone comes with big five inches display having a resolution of 800×480 pixels. The screen has IPS technology which gives better viewing angles.
Micromax Superfone Canvas A110 comes with eight megapixels rear camera with dual flash. The A110 had 1 GHz dual core chip inside as compared to Canvas A100 which had single core CPU.
Canvas A110 is competing with other phones like Karbonn A21, Karbonn A30, and Samsung Galaxy Ace.
