LG Optimus G Launched: Priced at Rs. 35,500

LG Optimus G has officially launched in the Indian smartphone market. The device is codenamed as E975 and is listed on LG’s official website with a price tag of Rs. 35,500.

LG firstly launched this new device in Korea in September 2012. The device has got pretty good specs including a 1.5GHz quad core processor with Snapdragon S4 Pro in its line, 2GB RAM, 4.7-inch 1280 by 768 pixels 320ppi resolution, and 13 megapixel and 1.3 megapixel cameras.

LG has loaded its Optimus G with a range of advanced features which raise the price automatically. The main attention grabber is its 13 MP primary rear camera that gives amazing clarity. Also for video calling, LG has loaded this device with a fairly 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. The phone can run fast and flawlessly due to powerful quad core processor finely supported by a 2GB RAM. For storage, LG has offered 32 GB built-in flash. However, many owners could get annoyed as this smartphone does not have a microSD card slot or expandable memory.

For connectivity, LG Optimus G comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, and microUSB support. Originally, the phone was shipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, but now LG has changed it to 4.1 Jelly Bean as pre-loaded to attract more customers. Optimus G also comes with improved User Interface which includes a QSlide Function that lets users to run and view two apps at the same time, quick memos that let users draw, write, or note down a memo directly through their finger on captured screen to share with friends or attach on email or URL; mirroring feature or Dual Screen Dual Play that allow mirroring between TV and smartphone and also displays different content on each screen through Wi-Fi; and live zooming and screen zooming.

The phone will first be available at online retailer Saholic that had already listed the device on its website for Rs. 30,990 and will ship within four working days.
