The phone offers 13 megapixel primary camera with Autofocus and LED support which not much high end smartphones provide. As far as its rivalry is concerned, LG has made all those things available which a top notch phone must have. Instead, it offered more including the high quality display giving smooth interface and crystal clear display. The major rival of this phone is Samsung Galaxy S3 and Apple iPhone 5 which are on demand in the market. The company is struggling to make this phone a big hit and for that it is also attempting strategic ways to launch it. More precisely, the phone will launch in India on February 25, two days after the launch of BlackBerry Z10 which is a strong contender, but will lose grounds as per the specs this Android beast holds.
If the specs of BlackBerry Z10 is considered, it comes with a 4.2 inch capacitive touch display with a screen resolution of 1280 by 768 pixels, dual core 1.5GHz OMAP 4470 processor, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, microSD card slot for additional memory space, 8 megapixel primary camera, 2 megapixel front facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, NFC, HDMI port, and a removable 1,800mAh battery.
The LG Optimus G is a strong competitor to BB Z10 because of its 13MP camera performance, better display, newly improved quad core processor, and larger internal storage capacity. The hardware of this phone looks strong and more appealing due to the display which is covered by Gorilla Glass 2 protector. Reflection of screen is absent on this phone which LG has named it ‘Crystal Reflection’. Performance of this device will be amazing due to the 2GB RAM, quad core CPU and 13MP camera. Users can simply enjoy browsing, smooth UI, snapping and recording, and much more without any lag in process.
The company is yet to announce the launch price of this phone, but it should be sold under Rs. 30,000 in any ways. There are other rivals in the market for this phone. Talking about Samsung, it has reduced the pricing of its Galaxy S3 at Rs. 30,090. The 16GB Galaxy S3 version now comes just for Rs. 28,900 approx. and Nokia to announce price cut of its Lumia smartphone very soon.
So, wait for the tempting devices to launch in market and till then compare LG Optimus G with your other favorite handsets.
