LG plans to launch 12 new Android phones in India from May
LG has plans of launching 12 new Android-based handsets, while the first smartphone LG Optimus 4X HD smartphone would be introduced in May. The smartphone would be running Android 4.0 platform.
LG Electronics is one of the leading mobile phone manufacturers in South Korea. The company would be launching 12 new smartphones in almost all categories low, top-end and mid. This would strengthen the existing portfolio of the company in smartphone segment in India.
The 12 new Android based mobile phones would be available in the price range of Rs 7,000 to Rs 35,000 in India. Expected to be launched in India in May, LG Optimus 4X HD smartphone would boost an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform and would be powered by quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor. Moreover, it will feature on board storage capacity of 16 GB and 1 GB RAM. The smartphone would have an 8.1 mega pixels camera at the rear, which would sport LED flash. mOreover, it would have a secondary camera of 1.3 mega pixels that can be used for video calling as well as video chats.
Following, LG Optimus 4X HD, the manufacturer would be introducing LG Optimus VU and LG Optimus 3D Max in the Indian market. They would be launching three affordable handsets in the L series as well.
Talking about the L series smartphones, they would be christened as Optimus L7, Optimus L5 and Optimus L3. Optimus L3 would boost a 3.2 inch display, 800 MHz processor and 3 mega pixels camera. On the other hand L5 would have 4 inches display and L7 would have 4.3 inches display. Moreover, all the handsets in L series would be available in black or white color options.
LG Optimus VU would sport 5 inches and would be competing with Samsung Galaxy Note as well as Acer Iconia Smart. LG Optimus VU has 4:3 aspect ratios, which would be improving the usability of the device. LG Optimus VU would have 1024 x 768 pixel resolution as well as 650 nits of brightness. The handset would have a primary camera of 8 mega pixels and various features such as WiFi, Android Beam, Bluetooth 3.0 and secondary camera of 1.3 mega pixels in front. It would be powered by a dual core 1.5 GHz processor as well as a faster graphic engine. It would have 32 GB of onboard storage capacity as well as a 2080 mAh battery pack.
LG Optimus 3D Max would be an upgrade of Optimus 3D smartphone. Optimus 3D Max would have thickness of 9.6 mm and would be powered by faster 1.2 GHz dual core CPU, 16 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM. You can even edit 3D videos as well as images captured on this smartphone. You can capture 2D videos and visuals up to 8 mega pixels resolution, while 3D would be recorded up to 5 mega pixels resolution. It would be 3D capable and would boost 4.3 inches LCD display.
