The device has been launched on Thursday, 21 June 2012 for a price tag of Rs. 33,590, adding one more HTC One series for the Indian market. This smartphone is marketed as one of the fastest smartphones on the market, but fails to provide the best screen like other competitive devices at this price range. However, the display is again one of the best. At the end, the HTC One S smartphone is flaunted as one of the best devices that are available on the market. The device features 4.3 inches of Super AMOLED multitouch display with Corning Gorilla Glass and HTC Sense UI, dual core 1.5 GHz Krait processor, Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, 16 GB internal and 1 GB RAM, 8 megapixel camera, and standard Li-Polymer 1650 mAh battery are some of the specs that this high-end smartphone includes.
The phone has all those advanced features that are basically demanded in the market, but few flaws are pulling back this device to become a hit in the global market. There is no memory card access given to this device excluding the 16 GB built-in memory. At least, owners will get to access micoSIM card support that is the only feature offered by HTC on its all new One S device. There is also a secondary VGA camera offered in order to meet the requirements of video conferencing. The best thing about this smartphone is that it brings to you the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system offered by Google that probably increases the price further. Well, there is a lot of multi-media functionality along with some great access including Android Market that altogether raises the bar for HTC One S.
Despite the specs and features, the HTC One S becomes a superslim smartphone sporting only a 7.9mm thin body. Faisal Siddiqui, the country manager of HTC India has said in his statement that the HTC One S is packed with 8 MP camera with autofocus feature, enabling the users to enjoy continuous shooting mode. Those who seek for artistic device loaded with advanced technology can choose this smartphone as it offers super fast camera with unique ImageSense technology, studio quality sounds with Beats Audio, and better styling and performance that makes it one of the best Android smartphones in the world.
