Google Nexus 7 now available in India for Rs 15,999

Google recently announced Nexus 7 tablet for Indian markets. This tablet will be available in 16 GB model for price of Rs. 15,999 and it will be sold through Google Play Store. This device can be pre-booked from April 5 and will be shipped to India later.

The imported models of this tablet are available in grey market now but it have any warranty. However, the officially launched model carries one year warranty from purchase date.

Google lets users connect this tablet to their Google account. Due to this, users won’t have to wait to link this device and it’ll be usable out of the box.

In terms of specs, the Google Nexus 7 comes with quad core 1.3GHz Tegra 3 chip inside with GeForce 12 cores GPU, 1 GB of RAM, seven inches IPS display with 1,280×800 pixels resolution, NFC or Near Field Communication capabilities, and 9 hours rated battery back-up with continuous video play back.

Google Nexus 7 is first Android gadget to have Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean OS with features like inteliigent keyboard which predicts the words for you while typing. There is also official voice recognition software for typing or other such inputs with support for 18 languages. The accessibility too is improved.

Google Nexus 7 is offered in 2 versions – 16GB and 32GB but the 32GB won’t be available in India. Google might release the bigger memory model later but its release date isn’t known yet.
