Canon To Expand Its Business: Launching 18 New Cameras in India
The giant camera maker Canon Inc is planning to expand its business in India by launching a new range of offerings including compact cameras that is loaded with Wi-Fi support and movie camera. This new product is the Cinema EOS C300 that has already attracted most of the attention in Hollywood. Now this new range of offerings is set to be launched in India.
Canon Inc has planned to launch total 18 new products in India during the first half of 2012 and six of which will be enabled with Wi-Fi support. The cameras will also feature still and video quality. The chief executive and Manager Director of Image Communication Products Operations of Canon Inc Masaya Maeda have said that the Indian camera market is very important and the growth of it would be continued for a while. He also said that the earnings of Canon Inc are back on track which was heavily affected last year due to the devastating earthquake in Japan and floods in Thailand. After constant work, the deliveries of camera can be done as per schedule without further problems in process.
In 2011, Canon India made an annual turnover of Rs. 1,525 crore and now its aim is to reach Rs. 2,280 crore this year. This is what has been told by the senior company officials. The company is adapting new technologies that will help to achieve the targets set by Canon. Accordingly, the Wi-Fi support integrated in some of the cameras will facilitate users to upload as well as share clicked pictures on the social networking sites very quickly with the help of tiresome cables. As said by the senior officials, the revenues of Canon will probably grow by 50 percent in future.
