BlackBerry 10 smartphones to unveil on February 25 in India

BlackBerry’s new range of smartphones have got a release date. Its 10 smartphones will hit in India on February 25. Following this launch of new line of BlackBerry-powered smartphones in India, the manufacturer will also make a global launch of new operating system and two new devices – Z10 and Q10. These two devices are powered by new platform and will unveil on January 30.

All the phones will be introduced at an event planned in Mumbai as said by the Canadian based company. However, pricing details is not available. As per the current market condition, BlackBerry seems to be losing its ground where it was once a leading phone maker in the world. It is struggling in the market since the boom of Android platforms. As of now, the company is in hopes to return its fortunes with the launch of all ten smartphones.

According to the reports, BlackBerry Q10 and Z10 will challenge Apple’s iPhone and other phones that have Google’s Android operating system which received popularity in the world. BlackBerry still has huge fan base in India, especially youth. So, the launch of all these smartphones could get good amount of attention from people in India. RIM has introduced new User Interface (UI) which it bets to have a good touchscreen. This UI is loaded in Z10 along with other features like BlackBerry Balance.

BB has faced strong criticism in the market for lack of content in its apps store and so it has revamped this platform to challenge the Android’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. It has also introduced BlackBerry Balance that lets users separate applications from music, photographs and other personal items and also professional data. The new phones will also feature improved camera features.

As far as BB Z10 is concerned, it was first unveiled in United Kingdom last month and then introduced in other countries – Canada, USA and UAE earlier this month.
