Asus planning to launch low end Android tablet powered by Intel processor
Latest rumors say that Asus, a Taiwan brand, is making low end, inexpensive Android tablet running on Intel Atom processor. It is believed that this tablet will run on Intel Atom Z2420 chip set which is part of inexpensive Lexington platform which Intel announced recently. Intel made this chipset for manufacturers who want to make inexpensive tablets for developing markets.
This Asus low end tablet will have Power SGX 540 GPU inside. You will get to choose from three memory options – 8, 16, and 32 GB. The device will have 1GB RAM inside. Screen of this tablet will be seven inches big and this IPS display will have resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. It will have aluminum casing outside for improving its durability and strength.
Rumors say that Asus will release this tablet by 2013 second quarter and the price will be around Rs. 10,000. We will cover a full review of it later so stay tuned on this blog.
