Acer Chromebook C7 Laptop Available for $199

The New Acer Chromebook has been introduced with very less price for users, but now it has been found that this already-low priced laptop has dropped the price even further. This device has been announced by Google and Acer as the brand-new Acer C7 that cost just $199.

This Chromebook has been powered by an Intel Celeron 847 processor and has also received a 2GB DDR3 RAM. The device will be first available to the United States’ customers at some online retailers including the Google Play Store, BestBuy.com and Best Buy stores.

Apart from U.S., this new Acer Chromebook C7 laptop is also available in the United Kingdom through Google Play, Currys, Amazon UK, and PC World. The senior vice president of Google for Chrome and Apps – Sundar Pichai has mentioned in his statement that they are working hard to make this device available in more countries soon.

The Acer Chromebook C7 weighs slightly over three pounds and measures like a full sized keyboard. The device gives complete clickable trackpad which goes well with an extra bright display that measures 11.6 inches. As far as the battery life is concerned, the Chromebook gives more than 3.5 hours of backup. Despite this, the laptop takes 18 seconds of booting time.

The Acer Chromebook C7 is packed with 320GB hard drive. Users can also enjoy 100GB free storage for two years on Google Drive. This laptop has built-in security features and gives automatic updates so consumers can stay connected. Other features that this device includes are 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi that lets users instantly connect to hotspots and other wireless networks.

Acer C7 also features LED indicator, 1.3 megapixel built-in HD webcam, microphone that is useful for video conferencing/capturing videos and photos/sharing online. It also supports internet connection at 30,000 feet with 12 freeGogo in-air internet passes which is useful for frequent travelers. The passes cost $150.

This year a series of low cost laptops have been introduced with Linux support and this is yet another Linux-based device that expands its options further. Those looking for a good web-based PC can think of this new Chromebook that comes for affordable price.
