5th-gen iPad rumored for March – Thinner, lighter with Retina display
The year 2012 seems to be the ravishing year for Apple as it has launched its most precious products that increased its fan base all across the globe. And now the rumor has it that Apple is planning to launch its all-new thinner and lighter, fifth generation iPad that sports similar design cues with the recently launched iPad Mini. This is what we have got to know from the Japanese blog Macotakara.
The report says that this next iPad mini will be released with a Retina display. This addition will be real surprising for many as this will bring that key missing feature in the original iPad mini.
This release will no doubt shorten the lifespan of Apple’s main tablet. Just last month, Apple launched its fourth generation iPad, eight months after launching its third-generation iPad. Seems this new fifth generation tablet will be launched in March which is a usual launch time for iPad. As per the reports cited by Macorakara, no sources clearly reveal the fact whether really Apple is preparing to release its new iPad so soon. However, it can be a fact as Apple already launched its fourth generation iPad quickly than usual with amazing specs that includes Ligthning dock connector.
Macotakara claims that this next iPad will sport dimensions of 4mm (h), 17mm (w) and 2mm (d). However, this dimension seems to be impossible if compared with the current iPad that features 241.2 mm (h), 185.7 mm (w), and 9.4 mm (d). It is also pre-assumed that the next-gen iPad will come in three color choices – white, silver and white, and slate.
So far, we are not sure about this news as in whether the report is true or is just a rumor to fetch attention of Apple lovers. So, stay tuned with us to get you the true news soon.
