Aakash tablet to arrive in Indian market by January 2012
Buyers who are waiting since long after registering their names for purchasing Aakash tablet will have to wait even longer. The delivery of Aakash tablet is supposed to be postponing further and buyers will get to access it in January with a fresh start of the New Year.
Hundreds and thousands of people have already ordered the ultra low-cost Aakash Android tablet online where the price is set at Rs. 2,500. However, the manufacturer of this low cost tablet, Datawind has announced that Aakash will begin its distribution processes only in January. On the other hand, we earlier heard that Aakash tablets will be delivered within seven days once the order is placed. In a statement, a spokesperson of DataWind has said to The Mobile Indian that buyers who have already booked their tablets online would only get this device in January. However, the spokesperson did not mentioned in the statement the reason for such sudden delay in distribution.
DataWind is even now accepting pre-orders online for this new version of Aakash tablet which is named as UbiSlate 7. This is an upgraded version of the Aakash Android tablet which was launched few months back as the cheapest priced tablet in the world. As of now, there is no update about the launch of this new tablet in January 2012, but we highly recommend you to stay tuned with us, especially if you are among those who have ordered for this tablet. We will soon come up with more information including the news when this tablet will head to the retail stores.
