Design and Display
The HP EliteBook 8460w workstation is a midsize 14 inches of device which is bundled with the Windows operating system and weighs just 4.9 pounds. The device is supported by Genuine Windows 7 Professional operating system and comes with an internal memory space of 16 GB. Users can also add extra 16 GB extra memory to this device if the internal 16 GB is found insufficient. Moreover, HP has added different types of SATA II drives for storage capacity. A solid state drive is also added to provide hundreds of gigabytes into internal storage.
For external connectivity, the laptop has been provided with 3 USB ports, stereo microphone and headphone, eSATA, 2 RJ ports one for AC power and other for docking connector, and external VGA.
Moreover, the device also supports an Express Card slot, one SD/MMC slot and a smart card reader, giving a variety of options to the users. The laptop has spill resistant keyboard as well as drain which are great feature for users. The international market has priced all the three models of EliteBook series at $1299 for the base HP EliteBook 8460w, $1239 for HP EliteBook 8560w and $1899 for HP EliteBook 8760w. The HP EliteBook 8460w comes a bit expensive where the price of its higher variants is somewhere around Rs. 1 lakh.
