LG DoublePlay Review
LG DoublePlay Review : A multi-feature/double screen smartphone for T-Mobile
In October, LG has launched its DoublePlay smartphone for T-Mobile which is completely unique and attractive due to the display features. LG has acquired the messaging market in a very big manner by launching a double display feature on its phone. The manufacturer believes that this phone is widely capable of providing its customers with messaging and social media facilities. So, let us review this phone and find out what is the appealing feature to turn people to buy this handset for T-Mobile.
Display – Phone with double-screen :
LG has provided with a two different touch-sensitive displays, a smaller on at the slider Qwerty keyboard. The displays are pretty sharp and clear. Just slide the keyboard and you’ll find another small touch display available which is completely dedicated to social media. Through this, users will never be away from the world and their friends. The bigger display is of 3.5 inches whereas, the Qwerty keyboard holds a 2 inches display fitted at the middle of the split keyboard. LG claims that its a multi-tasking machine which easily runs different applications on both the screen. So, at the second screen on slider keyboard, you’ll always access your facebook pages and text accordingly. Isn’t this great that you do not have to navigate from Facebook or load Facebook again and again?
Just enjoy touching both the screens whenever you want and continue tweeting and texting, surfing and streaming, uploading and downloading. Well, never forget that all these can be done at 4G speed offered by T-Mobile. Well, now it seems great!
Text and fun :
This phone offers Group Text™ through which users can create texts and reply to all the people in the group. Through this, everyone will be able to see each other and send messages
to everyone at once. On the other hand, Cloud Text™ keeps its users happy through sync and store texts from phone and computer to the web. This enables the users to stay connected all the time without missing a single beat.
Gaming world :
LG DoublePlay also offers great fun without stopping texts, tweeting, surfing, streaming, or sharing. At one screen you can enjoy playing pre-loaded games or online games and at other display your texts and other works will remain on. Some of the preloaded demos in this phone are SimCity™ Deluxe, Bejeweled 2, and Tetris. All these demos are loaded from DoublePlay™. So, users will no more have to miss their fun or contacts with friends.
Great entertainment :
Again it is the magic of DoublePlay™ which facilitates its users with their favourite music. Users can also take live as well as on-demand TV through T-Mobile® TV. You can play all your favourite songs on LG music player. Besides, to add more fun to your music world, Slacker Radio is available which you can customize your own way to listen to the personal radio stations.
One focus towards its performance :
Apart from Swype which comes pre-installed in this phone, Group Text and Cloud Text apps, the LG DoublePlay smartphone has become a very interesting device for the youth. Users can now enjoy texting their friends by taking data from their computer without even accessing it. This phone is run by an Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with a 1 GHz processor (single-core Snapdragon).
Support :
- Wi-Fi calling
- DLNA
- Full webkit browser integrated with Adobe Flash software
- Mobile hot spot support
- 5 megapixels of camera
- 720p HD quality video capturing
- Wonderful call quality
- T-Mobile support through 4G/HSPA+ network
Pros :
It supports a lot of features which even many high-end smartphones don’t possess such as Adobe Flash and 4G network. The camera quality is also good for youth to click pictures and share on their wall.
Cons :
The dual-display seems very unusual and strange which people might mind accepting at first instance. The phone is a little bulky and the battery life is the major disappointment.
All in all, the LG DoublePlay offers great features and comes under the category of a mid range Android smartphone. However, its design is a little bizarre and may not suit everyone except the youth. Pricing and release date of this phone is yet to announce, but the company has high hopes to see its latest creation, DoublePlay a success.
